Modus operandi (plural modi operandi) is a Latin phrase, approximately translated as “method of operation”.[1] The term is used to describe someone’s habits or manner of working. In English, it is often shortened to M.O.

The expression is often used in police work when discussing a crime and addressing the methods employed by the perpetrators. It is also used in criminal profiling,[2] where it can help in finding clues to the offender’s psychology.[3] It largely consists of examining the actions used by the individual(s) to execute the crime, prevent its detection and/or facilitate escape.[1] A suspect’s modus operandi can assist in his identification, apprehension or repression, and can also be used to determine links between crimes.[4]

Modus operandi is often used in business settings as well, to describe a firm’s preferred means of doing business and interacting with other firms.

My “M.O.”?

*When I am stressed out (or on my period…that usually stresses me out) I tend to toke more, eat more chocolate, be more verbally direct with people (my patience has run thin at that point and niceties are just time wasting cause I am usually wanting to be in bed curled up in the blankets…not dealing with whatever ridiculous bullshit whomever is trying to make “super important” or “emergency” when it really isn’t…).

Toking and chocolate (and hot tea…yum) are in direct correlation with the “verbally direct” side of me.

If you want me to be calm and more patient with you, get me a hot tea, chocolate, and smoke me out with some dank (and give me a massage if you think “it” is going to really get me riled up) and then proceed.

Chances are, I will be much more receptive to what the fuck you are trying to get me to do, say, figure out, listen to, etc.

It isn’t a guarantee, but it improves your odds.
